Thanks to George O’Halloran (Michael Rose), it looks like Xander will get shot right in front of Sarah.
Xander may sacrifice himself for Sarah’s sake and make sure he gets hit instead of her.
Sarah has already been wrestling with complicated feelings for Xander, so this chaos is only going to make her more drawn to him.
Days spoilers say this traumatic ordeal will bond Xander and Sarah, so she may make some promises by his hospital bedside.
Even if Xander isn’t conscious to hear them, Sarah might realize she wants him back and plan to commit to a reunion if he pulls through.
However, there could be a problem if Days writers lean into a familiar soap trope here.
What if right after Sarah finally realizes she wants to reunite with Xander, she finds out she’s pregnant with Brady Black’s (Eric Martsolf) baby?
Although Sarah claims to love Brady, that love can’t truly compete with what she feels for Xander.
At the same time, Sarah might be tempted to shove her growing feelings for Xander down if she’s got Brady’s bun in the oven.
That could make it too complex for Sarah to leave Brady and add to the tragic separation of Xander from his true love.
Of course, Sarah could potentially lose the baby or later decide to reunite with Xander despite the messiness of it all.
Whatever the case, Sarah’s potential pregnancy could add another layer of drama and give this storyline somewhere new to go.
Days spoilers hint that Xander and Sarah’s reunion is coming up sooner or later, but DOOL writers won’t make this easy for them!
