The Young and the Restless Wednesday, October 21 Recap: Lily’s Cancer NOT Back – Adam’s Baby News Shocks Chelsea

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) recap for Wednesday, October 21, reveals that Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) will get some news that leaves her relieved.

Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will also throw Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) for a loop when he admits to delivering Sally Spectra’s (Courtney Hope) baby girl.

In the jazz lounge, Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) will grumble as he wonders what’s taking Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) so long to get back to him.

Cane won’t be able to wait any longer on making London flight arrangements, so he’ll bid farewell to Lily and plan to head out.

Up in Sally’s suite, she’ll convince Billy to hold the baby before they leave for the hospital.

While Billy is washing his hands, Sally will thank Adam for his help and assure him that Baby Ava could never be replaced.

Adam will eventually meet up with Chelsea downstairs and leave her worried he got into a fight due to his bloody, disheveled appearance.

When Chelsea learns Adam just delivered Sally’s newborn daughter instead, she’ll reel and call him a hero.

Adam will reflect on not being able to keep Sally and Ava safe the first time around.

Chelsea will hug Adam and promise he won’t be alone tonight, but he’ll need her to do him a favor before they go.

Since Adam promised he’d spread the word to Coco Spectra (Ashley Campbell), Shirley Spectra (Patrika Darbo) and Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver), Chelsea will find them and send them upstairs instead.

That’ll give Shirley, Coco and Audra a chance to gush over Sally’s baby when they meet her. Sally will suggest Ruby as a first name, so Billy will agree that it fits.

After Sally encourages Billy to pick their daughter’s middle name, he’ll have an idea that he won’t want to put out there just yet.

At one point, Billy will step out in the hallway and call Cane about the baby’s arrival.

Cane will assume this means Billy isn’t going to London, but Billy will want to be there for Jill Abbott (last played by Lauren Koslow) if this is really the end.

Billy won’t want to leave Sally tonight, but he’ll suggest maybe tomorrow morning and hope it won’t be too late.

In the meantime, Cane will plan to give Jill some love from Billy and tell her about her new granddaughter.

As for Lily, Y&R spoilers say she’ll get her final test results and read them with Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland).

Lily will rush off to find Cane, who’ll be elated when she reveals that they’re negative.

Cane will realize Lily’s cancer isn’t back after all, so he’ll give her a big kiss as they celebrate.

Once Billy returns to Sally and prepares to head to the hospital with her, she’ll wonder what his phone call was about.

Billy won’t want to pile anything else on Sally since she’s had a big day, so he won’t spill any Jill details just yet.

However, the Abbotts will discuss Jill’s heart attack down in the jazz lounge, where Kyle will fill Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) in.

At Abby Winters’ (Melissa Ordway) urging later, she’ll get Kyle and Victoria to share a dance.

That’ll lead to Victoria discreetly accepting the keycard to Kyle’s suite.
