Jeremy Clarkson reveals he’s working on ‘ambitious’ show ‘bigger’ than Clarkson’s Farm ‘on the scale of Celeb Traitors’

JEREMY Clarkson has revealed he is developing a new TV show on the
same scale as The Celebrity Traitors which will be “bigger and better”
than Clarkson’s Farm.
Talking at the RTS Convention in London today, he said the only way
the TV industry could compete in a world of social media and online
shows was to amalgamate all the broadcasters in a mega organisation
called Britflix.

4Telly star Jeremy thinks that all channels should merge
Jeremy, 66, also revealed they’d just finished filming series six of
Clarksons’ Farm and were considering what they could do on a potential
seventh series.
He also said: “We’re currently thinking about what we’re going to do
after Clarkson’s Farm and it’s going to have to be something bigger –
to stand out, to protect us from the onslaught from underneath (from
new media).
“It has to be unbelievably ambitious, like, where people go: ‘What the
*** are you doing? that’s an incredible show!’
“The Traitors is a very good example. They get proper celebrities on
that and it’s a great show.”
Jeremy was in conversation with The Sun columnist Jane Moore and his
daughter Emily, who is a blogger and social media businesswoman.
They were discussing the relationship between new and old media within
the context of television production.
Jeremy also said that traditional broadcasting with scheduled
programmes on hobbies such as cookery and gardening can’t compete with social media posts “unless they’re cooking on the moon”.

He added: “Television has to get bigger, lose scheduling and get better.
“I actually think that TV in this country can only survive – and
should do this – if the whole lot merge. BBC, ITV, Sky Channel 4 and
5.
“People are draining away from the industry and it’s a huge pool of
talent and I think if we had one great big thing – Britflix, let’s
call it – we could all club together and make good programmes.
“But bigger, better and fewer programmes.”
