Who Wants To Be A Millionaire player bails on question ‘no one in the world could answer’

One recent contestant on Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? was forced to quit when a question that Jeremy Clarkson deemed as “unanswerable” came up midway through her game

Natalie walked away with £32,000 in the end
A contestant on Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? had to walk away when faced with an “impossible” question. A player called Natalie was in the hot seat on the long-running ITV game show, which has been fronted by Jeremy Clarkson since 2018.
For the chance to take her winnings up to £64,000, he asked Natalie: “Which of these popular tourist lakes is the largest by area? Lake Windermere, Lake Garda, Lake Tahoe or Lake Titicaca.”
It quickly became apparent that Natalie did not know the answer, and she decided to use her Ask The Host lifeline. She said: “Geography is not a particularly good subject for me. I think maybe I’d like to ask you, Jeremy.”
Unfortunately, the former Top Gear star was unable to be of any assistance to Natalie as he admitted: “Now then, I haven’t been to Titicaca, but the one thing I know about it is it’s phenomenally deep. I’ve driven boats across the other three. I’ve got a water speed record on Lake Windermere.”

Jeremy Clarkson recently said that ‘no one in the world’ could answer one particular question on WWTBAM
Confirming that he didn’t know, he added: “I don’t think Windermere is the answer. And Lake Garda – that’s I think the biggest of the Italian lakes. This is a nightmare question.
“So I’m literally useless to you. I am so sorry. I’d love to be able to help you out here, Natalie, but that is my final answer.” Natalie then decided to use her Phone A Friend lifeline but her pal Dan was of no use either, as he admitted: “Ooh, that’s a tough one.”
In the end, Natalie acquiesced that she would just have to walk away with her winnings of £32,000, which he had secured on the previous question. She said: “I’m too unsure. I can’t risk losing that much money. I think I’d like to take the money, please. Final answer.”
However, there was another tragic twist as when Natalie confessed she probably would have guessed Titicaca if she had to, Jeremy, who remarked that “no one in the world” seemed to be able to answer the question, confirmed that she would have been right and would have doubled her money.

He said: “If you’d have done that you would have reached your safety net. You’d have had £64,000. Never mind.” It’s deep and massive, as it turns out, and is the largest freshwater lake in South America. Windermere is England‘s largest lake. Garda is Italy‘s largest lake as we worked out and Tahoe is North America‘s largest alpine lake.”
“But they’re all dwarfed by Titicaca, which is deep and enormous. You would have got the right answer, but I don’t blame you for not risking it. No, I really don’t.”
Jeremy insisted the question was so hard that “no one in the room or world could answer it”.
