Melissa Claire Egan Gets a Huge Show of Support From Her Y&R Family

Melissa Claire Egan had her Young and the Restless family by her side as she took part in the American Heart Association’s Heart and Stroke Walk.

The Young and the Restless star Melissa Claire Egan (Chelsea Lawson) stepped out for a cause close to her heart this weekend — joining her co-stars for the American Heart Association’s Heart and Stroke Walk as part of Team Y&R.
The outing carries extra meaning for the actress. Back in February, Egan publicly revealed that she had been diagnosed with mild coronary heart disease at age 44. Taking to Instagram after the event, she shared a heartfelt look at the day, honoring those affected while expressing deep gratitude for the overwhelming support from her daytime family.
“Incredible day at the @american_heart Heart and Stroke Walk, representing Team Y&R!” Egan shared. “Today raised money for heart disease and stroke research and prevention programs, raised awareness about cardiovascular disease, and honored all those affected by heart disease, especially those we have lost.”
Y&R Stars Showed Up for Melissa Claire Egan
Egan was joined on the walk by several familiar Genoa City faces — including Michelle Stafford (Phyllis), Lauralee Bell (Christine), Christian LeBlanc (Michael), Bryton James (Devon), Courtney Hope (Sally), Tamara Braun (Sienna), and even Y&R publicist Matty Kane.
She went on to give a special shoutout to the crew who showed up early to walk alongside her. “So grateful to my amazing cast mates and friends for waking up early to support and show their love, they are true angels!!” she wrote.
While plenty of castmates made it out, a few others sent their love from afar. Kate Linder (Esther) commented on the post, “Wish I could have been there! So proud of all of you,” while Christel Khalil (Lily) added, “So sad I missed this!!! So proud of you guys!!!”
Ending her message with an important reminder for fans, Egan encouraged everyone to stay proactive about their health. “Link in my bio if you’d like to donate to the cause — we’re all so lucky to live this life together, please stay healthy and ask your doctor about your risk for heart disease!” she added.
