General Hospital Thursday, October 8 Recap: Ava Pushes Drew to Bury Willow – Chase Can’t Stop Defending Ex-Wife

General Hospital (GH) recap for Thursday, October 8, reveals that Ava Jerome (Maura West) urged Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) to confirm Willow Tait’s (Katelyn MacMullen) guilt.
Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) also remained Willow’s biggest cheerleader and crushed Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) in the process.
For starters, Lulu Spencer’s (Alexa Havins Bruening) article went viral and detailed how Congresswoman Willow drugged Drew with a paralytic for months according to Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota).
When Chase saw the article on his phone, he cut his latest meeting with Monet Mitchell (Blythe Howard) short and took off.
At the Quartermaine gatehouse, Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) showed up to support Willow since she assumed everything in Lulu’s exposé was true.
Britt didn’t judge Willow since she knew what it was like to get tangled up in Jenz Sidwell’s (Carlo Rota) drama.
Willow confessed Sidwell didn’t have to twist her arm very hard to convince her to give that paralytic to Drew.
There was no proof of what Willow had done, but Willow pointed out that Drew could confirm it.
Britt doubted Drew wanted to look like a fool, but Willow didn’t know whether his ego or his desire for revenge would win out.
Without Jack Brennan’s (Chris McKenna) blackmail to stop Drew from confessing, Willow was uncertain of Drew’s next move.
Regardless, Willow worried about the fallout of Lulu’s accusations since all this could affect her kids and career.
Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) was thrilled over Lulu’s work, so she happily encouraged Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) and Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) to read the story in The Invader.
Chase eventually came along and threw accusations around regarding Lulu’s “hit piece,” but Brook Lynn, Michael and Tracy denied having anything to do with it.
After Chase ranted about the awful things the three of them had done to Willow, he stomped off.
Chase wound up at the gatehouse, where he told Willow about his suspicions that Tracy, Michael and Brook Lynn were behind the article despite their denial.
“But we are gonna fight back. And I know exactly how to do it,” Chase promised Willow.
As for Brook Lynn, she was distraught over Chase still rushing to Willow’s defense.
Tracy said Chase had been exposed like Willow since this proved who he was loyal to.
In Carly Spencer’s (Laura Wright) office, Drew griped about how long it took to valet park and assumed Carly was intentionally sabotaging his experience.
Carly turned Drew’s attention to the article Lulu wrote, so he was stunned since he thought it was going to be a profile of his incredible recovery.
At Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) house, Ava refused to bring Avery Corinthos (last played by Ava and Grace Scarola) over for her usual time with her dad after what happened at Pentonville.
There was some talk about Avery being a teenager now as Sonny defended his innocence and warned that he wouldn’t miss another visit.
Later, Carly brought Donna Corinthos (Scarlett Spears) over and admitted she believed Sonny.
That led to Sonny complaining about all the other people who didn’t take him at his word, especially Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) since his lack of faith hurt the most.
Sonny eventually told Donna that she might hear some bad lies about him in school, but Donna believed Sonny since he was the best dad ever.
Back with Ava, she met up with Drew to discuss the article, which implied that Willow may have drugged Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna), too.
Drew worried about the investigation leading back to them and wondered whether he should confirm Lulu’s story was true or not.
Ava insisted Drew should confirm it and use this situation to bury Willow. It was the best way for Drew and Ava to protect themselves under the circumstances.
Although Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) hesitated to leave injured Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) with his prison situation up in the air, he told her to take advantage of the German clinic spot that Michael secured.
Jordan headed to the Quartermaine mansion, where she confirmed to Michael that she was ready to head to Baden-Baden tomorrow.
At GH again, Monet visited Curtis’ hospital room to discuss her plan for his appeal.
Curtis eventually shook Monet’s hand and accepted her representation.
That’s when Monet added that there was one more thing and said she was sure it wouldn’t be an issue.
Monet admitted she was Jordan’s sister, so he definitely didn’t see that news coming!
General Hospital spoilers say Jordan and Monet have more family drama in their future, so stick with the ABC soap.
