The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Is Sharon Falling in Matt’s Trap – Baddie’s Revenge Strategy Revealed?

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers hint that Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) may be getting lulled into a false sense of security.
Sharon is starting to take pity on Matt Clark (Roger Howarth), but does he really deserve it?
After Matt wound up in that car crash, he hit his head and has been wrestling with sinister thoughts again ever since.
Y&R fans will recall how Matt decided Sharon didn’t deserve a halo before declaring that hero time was over.
From there, Matt broke in Sharon’s house, where he’s been playing up this feud between good and evil in his brain.
Sharon watched Matt break down right in front of her and truly believes he can benefit from some professional help at a clinic.
However, there’s a chance Matt’s inner turmoil is an act at this point.
It seemed like Matt finally embraced his sinister side when he was in his motel room, so what if all this is a manipulative plan?
When Matt was a real villain, he was a twisted character who loved mind games.
If that version of Matt is fully back, then maybe he’s manipulating Sharon with terrible intentions.
Matt might’ve enjoyed making Sharon afraid of him before tugging at her heartstrings soon after.
Perhaps it’s fun for Matt to toy with Sharon’s emotions and make her compassionate toward her former attacker.
This storyline is understandably getting a lot of backlash on social media, especially considering the shocking developments in the October 16 episode.
Matt’s “dealbreaker” condition of Sharon being his therapist at his new psychiatric hospital is wrong on so many levels.
Sharon shouldn’t be forced to help the man who put her through so much pain, so it’s easy to see why Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) is firmly against the idea.
The alarm bells are going off for Nick since he feels like Matt could somehow spin this situation around on Sharon and mess with her head.
Could that indeed be what Matt plans to do as part of a long-game revenge strategy?
If we’re dealing with the old Matt now, he might hope to make Sharon think she’s “curing” him and then launch another attack when she least expects it.
This whole thing just feels fishy, so we’ll see if there’s more than meets the eye when it comes to Matt’s goals.
