The Young and the Restless Friday, September 25 Recap: Phyllis Confronts Kyle, Victoria’s Tight Spot – Diane’s Sabotage

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) recap for Friday, September 25, reveals that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will put Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) through an interrogation.

Diane Jenkins Abbott (Susan Walters) will also spill her plot, so here’s what Y&R fans can look forward to.

At the Abbott mansion, Diane will tell Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) that everyone’s energized at work thanks to the Vibrante buzz.

Diane will hint about crushing Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) in business and will worry Jack with plans for a counter-promotion.

The goal will be to put the spotlight solely on Jabot and turn Vibrante’s launch into a “Valentine’s Day massacre.”

At the Riverbank Motel, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) will hide inside the room and listen as Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) grills Kyle about his presence there.

Kyle will claim he had a work meeting, but Matt will be skeptical along with Phyllis when she pops up.

Kyle will face Phyllis’ questions about what he’s doing there as well, but he’ll eventually take off.

Once Phyllis steps inside Matt’s room, that’ll give Victoria a chance to sneak away.

Victoria will end up at the Newman ranch, where she’ll dodge Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) questions about where she’s been.

Victoria will also offer a positive report on Nick Newman’s (Joshua Morrow) first day back on the job.

Between that and Victor’s vow to not to cause trouble through Vibrante, Nikki will be feeling hopeful about the future.

Victoria will eventually head home to the tack house, where she’ll speak with Kyle over the phone.

Although Victoria will consider telling Victor that Matt’s still around, Kyle will point out that she’d have to explain where she saw him and why she was there.

Victoria will acknowledge that’s tricky and contemplate just telling Victor that she saw Matt somewhere in town.

Despite the close call, Victoria will want to keep seeing Kyle and will agree to his plan to meet somewhere new next time.

Although Victoria will wonder what location Kyle has in mind, he’ll keep that news under wraps for now.

Back at the Riverbank Motel, Matt will speculate that Kyle was there to score drugs.

Phyllis will guess that Kyle was following Matt instead in hopes that his trail would lead to Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk).

Phyllis will admit she talked to Daniel Romalotti Jr. (Michael Graziadei) about whether she’d be missed if she left Genoa City.

Daniel encouraged Phyllis to stay, so Matt will think that’s exactly what she should do.

Phyllis will reiterate that Matt shouldn’t leave with Patty the psychopath, but he’ll plan to deal with her once they’re out of GC.

After Phyllis urges Matt to put Patty behind bars ASAP and then come back to her, they’ll hit the sheets.

Phyllis will eventually wake up alone, so she’ll put Matt’s ballcap on and hold out hope that they’ll meet again.

At Society, Nick will sit with Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) while she waits for takeout.

That’ll give Nick a chance to gush over his return to Newman and express gratitude to Sharon for having faith in him.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Nick’s recovery will come with more bumps in the road, so stay tuned.
