You just never know what you’re going to come across on the internet, and a recent post by InTouch not only made us look twice but left a few fans of a Young & Restless star confused. It all started when TMZ got the exclusive on the post-divorce surrounding Happy Days fave Anson Williams (Potsie) and Jackie Williams. Along with their news, they posted a correct photo of the party in question. As the news began to circulate, the other outlet posted a photo of Anson with Kate Linder (Esther) — and that’s what made us stop and say, “What?!? Nope, that’s not correct at all.”
Now we know that mistakes often happen in the business and this one, like we mentioned, left fans confused. While some were stunned and led to believe that Anson had been married to Linder, others corrected them and made it clear that the two were not married, had never been married and that the picture including the Young & Restless vet had to have been a mistake. And a mistake it was.
To be clear, while it gave a few a chuckle, here are the deets for those still wondering what the heck is up or down… Anson and Jackie married in 1988 and divorced in 2019. The center of the current story, as published by TMZ, followed a judge’s verdict for Anson to pay Jackie $40K for unpaid divorce obligations. As for Linder, she had been married to Ronald Linder from 1976 until his death in 2017. And in the end, the pic of the two had to have been mistakenly taken from an event they attended at the same time.
So, there you have it, mystery solved!
