While Harry is reportedly repairing his relationship with King Charles, things appear to remain the same with his elder brother. Now, as per a source, William and Middleton’s meeting with the Duke of Sussex is imminent.

According to Woman & Home‘s Duncan Larcombe, Prince William and Kate Middleton are likely to meet Prince Harry soon. “William is extremely concerned about what Harry’s return to Britain will mean for working members of the family,” the author’s source told him. The source continued, “It may well be too risky for them to just sit back and let Harry make the next move.”
They added, “There are suggestions that they feel they have no choice but to ask the Duke of Sussex for a face-to-face meeting.” This is “to discuss the future and lay down, or at least reiterate, some of the rules.” It is currently still up for debate whether Harry will agree to the meeting. However, “it is felt that the King and William have little option but to try.” Larcombe further shared that the Prince of Wales has been cornered. He reportedly has been pushed to a position where he has to invite his sibling to discuss what is next.
Larcombe noted that any meeting could carry risks despite the possibility of rebuilding the brothers’ relationship. William is reportedly angry over Harry’s interviews and memoir, which revealed private details about the royal family. The meeting could give William an opportunity to express his concerns and seek assurances about future disclosures. For Harry, a conversation with his brother could provide an opportunity to discuss their strained relationship.
“Harry may be many things but he is not stupid,” Larcombe’s source noted. They added, “He knows that if he remains at war with his brother, when the time comes for William to take the throne the consequences for him could be severe.”
