The Young and the Restless Friday, October 23 Recap: Jill’s Health Update, Billy’s Goodbye to Sally, Chelsea Snaps

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) recap for Friday, October 23, reveals that Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will bid farewell to Sally Spectra-Abbott (Courtney Hope) and leave for London.

Sally will also get a visit from Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) since he’ll want an introduction to Ruby Spectra-Abbott.

Plus, Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) will lose her temper, so let’s discuss what’s ahead in Genoa City.

At the GCAC, Lauren Fenmore Baldwin (Tracey E. Bregman) will talk to Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) about traveling to London with Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc).

According to Snapper Foster’s (David Hasselhoff) latest news, Jill Abbott (last played by Lauren Koslow) will be out of the ICU and stabilized, so there’ll be hope that she can survive surgery.

Phyllis will acknowledge that she’s had her fair share of issues with Jill, but she’ll think they’re a lot alike and will be rooting for her recovery.

While Lauren’s gone, Phyllis will think she can handle things at Arabesque with Daniel Romalotti Jr. (Michael Graziadei).

On the Crimson Lights patio, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will steal some kisses with Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) since no one will be around, but she’ll point out that it’s still risky.

Once Kyle confirms he’ll make up a business-related excuse and slip away to London, Victoria will look forward to being around strangers and feeling less stressed about their connection.

After Phyllis shows up, she’ll mention Billy’s London trip since she heard about it from London.

Victoria will seem thrown over the fact that Billy’s going to be there along with Lauren and Michael.

At home, Billy will remain reluctant to leave Sally and Ruby, but Sally will convince him that the chaos will still be waiting when he gets back.

Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will show up and hold his new niece before agreeing that Billy will regret it if he doesn’t visit Jill now.

After Billy says goodbye to Sally, he’ll leave with Michael and Lauren.

The three of them will make a stop at the coffeehouse, where Victor will be talking to Victoria about her critical business trip.

Victor will say some kind words about Jill and surprise Billy by not making any snide remarks.

Friday’s Y&R episode will also bring Victor and Nick’s concerns about Adam Newman (Mark Grossman), who’ll face their grilling session at the ranch.

Nick and Victor will assume Adam’s struggling with some tough emotions due to delivering Sally’s baby.

Adam will downplay his pain over his own lost baby girl and get defensive when Chelsea is brought up.

Victor and Nick will worry how Chelsea feels about all this as well, but Adam will insist they’re happy for the new parents and that’s the end of the story.

Later, Nick will stop by to see Sally and meet Ruby. After Nick says he feels like an uncle by proxy, Sally will introduce him to Ruby as “Uncle Nick.”

Sally will quiz Nick about how Adam is holding up, so Nick will acknowledge that it’s tough to know what’s going on in his brother’s head.

At Society, Chelsea will snap at Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) when she makes a comment about their “weird” visit to Sally and Ruby at home.

After they rehash Chelsea and Adam’s cheating fiasco, Chelsea will push Audra to stop throwing that in her face and try to be actual friends.

Adam will ultimately join Audra and Chelsea before Phyllis saunters over.

When Phyllis inquires about Matt Clark (Roger Howarth), Adam will hope they never have to see him again.

At the Abbott mansion, Kyle will lie to Jack about flying just outside of Paris for a meeting about a luxury skincare brand they might want to acquire.

Since Billy is taking the Jabot jet, Kyle will assure Jack that he can make his own travel arrangements.
