‘Why would I care?’ Jeremy Clarkson blurts out savage review of Kim Kardashian at the F1
Jeremy Clarkson has never been one to mince his words, and he certainly didn’t hold back when giving his take on Kim Kardashian’s recent F1 appearances.
The Top Gear star, 66, gave a savage review of the publicity Kardashian, who is dating seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton, has garnered while attending the event in a live TV interview on Sunday night.
Clarkson was asked if he’d seen Kardashian’s recent interview with Sky Sports presenter Martin Brundle, which took place months after she awkwardly snubbed him for a chat.
“I wasn’t watching that, because I’m sort of not interested in Kim Kardashian if I’m honest,” he bluntly responded.
“Why would I be interested in Kim Kardashian? I’m here to watch Formula 1, not Kim Kardashian.
“All the cameras go ‘oooh, Kim Kardashian’. Why do I care? Why would I care or less that Kim Kardashian is here?”
But he wasn’t done there.
“I don’t know why you’re filming me, I don’t know anything about Formula 1, I’m just a fan,” he continued to the hosts.
“I sit and watch it on television, I listen to you guys and I learn everything I know about Formula 1 by listening to you three.
“I don’t know anything more than anybody watching at home, really.”
Kardashian has indeed made a fair few headlines since she appeared at the F1 to support her partner.
The first was most memorable. In June, Brundle – who is well known for his grid walk interviews – approached the Skims founder for an interview but was brutally snubbed.
Brundle made his way over to the sisters to get them for a quick interview before the race kicked off.
But as he asked Kim how she was doing, she just ignored him and looked away.
Months later, she went back to chat with Brundle and joked about their first meeting.
“Did I not know the rules? Did we get off on the wrong foot?” Kardashian joked as she spoke with Brundle.
Brundle laughed it off and told her it was fine, while he welcomed her to the Singapore race.
He then asked what she thought about Formula 1.
“I think it’s amazing and wild and something that I have never seen before. It’s amazing,” she said.
Brundle’s questions then moved to Hamilton, who she has been dating for around nine months now.
“[Lewis] is [in great form]. I am just praying for the best tonight. He is very confident and so am I. Just got to pray for the best,” she added.
